It is with this instrument that he recorded almost all parts of Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver and solo albums. This has been set up here at the Banjo Warehouse and is a fantastic playing and sounding guitar.For studio sessions, Slash almost exclusively uses a 1959 Les Paul Standard replica made by Kris Derrig. The original case is also very worn but it is in overall good shape and sturdy. The fretboard itself is clean with clean frets. I’m not sure if the top has some repaired cracks or deep scratches but there are some lines on the top which could be either. There is a lot of checking and finish scratching. This is a fantastic example of a well played vintage Gibson that also includes the original case. This is very worn which does nothing but bring more sound and tone out of the guitar. The bridge is a large rosewood bridge with pearl blocks. The guitar has white binding on each side of the neck and body. The fretboard has nice pearl inlay position markers. 
The neck is also maple with a rosewood fretboard. The sides and back are maple and this has a spruce top. This is all original with the original sunburst finish.
